Ethan

My little boy, Ethan (a.k.a. Étienne at French camp), sometimes lends me a hand at my small chocolate shop. Although a dreamer at home, he transforms into a bossy, hardworking businessman at La Châtelaine Chocolat Co. Donned in an apron and fitted with too-large serving gloves, he is capable of rolling truffes, spewing whipping cream on top of hot chocolate, and designing store signs (see above). Ethan is also the youngest Francophile that I know. He learned to speak a little French in Paris last summer and truly seemed to “fit in”, which isn’t easy for dreamers.
